Served its purpose but overall the shower room could do with a really good clean.

I had accidentally booked a 2 bedded room for myself but the price was still affordable. It made for a nice and quiet time.

The main dining/hangout area was tiny and cramped and unusable if more then a couple of people. There was a terrible smell in the shower room and mold on the doors and walls in places, I mentioned this to the guy at reception but the next day it hadn't changed. The staff were friendly and helped me out when I left something behind in my room on checkout.

Very Good

- Friendly staff: staff would help you as much as possible during your stay. Supposed to be self check-in but the male staff helped me to carry the luggage to my floor and explained the use of the space and amenities. - Amenities: there is a kitchen in the communal area with complete kitchenware. Also a terrace on the top floor where you can take a view of the area, it's quite chill up there.

- Lockers are placed outside of the room, so it would be a little inconvenient if you constantly take out and put in things. - Accommodation doesn't have an elevator and it is on the 3rd and 4th floor, if you carry a big luggage this would be considered.

Excellent location, minutes from Busan tower and Nampo main street. Clean sheets, comfortable space, bed curtain. Good internet, easy check-in (no staff, written instructions).

Only one sink in the bathroom available for the whole female floor, can get busy.

The best

This is the best guesthouse I’ve stayed during three months travel in Korea. The hosts are so helpful and kind, we chatted a lot and also helped me for some schedule booking with other Koreans as I didn’t have Korea phone number to contact. Here also able to borrow plug converter from owner. The facilities are clean and I most love the foot massage machine, it is so good relaxing after walk a lot outside. There is also laundry service with a very reasonable price. The location is good near to KTX station and walk distance to Jagalci market and Busan tower.

There is only one sink in shared bathroom so might need to line up for the sink

Ladies Only area is super cool and somehow it instill a "Safe" feeling. I like this the most! Also, one of the cubicle is equipped with bidet . Muslims surely would like it. Room is good and even the pantry is also neat and clean. Highly recommended.

Super clean! booked ladies room and it was superb comfortable + feels like home and quiet at night <3 owner help us to carry our superb heavy luggage. near to 3 subways exit & underground shopping market. toilet and shower were really gooddddddd. full 10 stars for everything. next time going to Busan will definitely come here again!! thank you for providing us an excellent service

Exceptional

Very clean and modern facilities. Everything felt super convenient- location, placement of amenities, and energy wise. We were beyond happy with this hostel and would definitely stay again. This hostel has everything you need and more (they offered earplugs, toothbrushes, and towels to us, and had toothpaste, body wash, and shampoo available as well). The hosts even offered to do the laundry for me, which was heavily appreciated.

It was right above a karaoke place, which could get loud at some points. Heated floors would have made this a 11/10 stay since it would get chilly in the areas outside of our rooms. These are more nitpicks than anything though- for the price point, (although we stayed during offseason) it was a stellar accomodation.

It is at strategic area where a lot of restaurants, convenience stores, also the bus stop and subway station was very near. Very clean for both room and bathroom. Responsive and friendly staff. Easy check in/out process. It is a good place for group travelers. Highly recommended especially for backpacking trip and for women. ^^

It would be good if there are many board games ^^

What was the highlight of Elephant Hostel Nampo

Nice and hospitable owners. Very clean and modern. No elevator.

The property is a stone’s throw away from the Nampo Station, some of the bus stations, Lotte Mart, Nampo-dong shopping street, and all the cutesy fancy cafes and restaurants (and ktv / bars) as well. It’s also on the 3rd floor of a mixed-used building along the main road. Look for the small, black elephant icon on the signage when checking it out from the main street (and use Naver maps). The owners are really nice and very thoughtful too! I wasn’t able to get his name but I called him Sajangnim (or Mr. Owner - literally Mr. President in Korean translation). He made us (me and another student who stayed in the common dining area) hot choco while we’re working/studying. I also love that there’s a coffee machine! :) I stayed in room 305 - a private room with a bunk bed. Their bunk beds are not flimsy, the upper bunk was built on the wall leaving the lower bunk's user unbothered even if the upper bunk is also occupied. Toilets and shower cubicles are shared. There are also hairdryers and straightening iron in the shared bathroom. Toothbrush, toothpaste, towels and ear plugs (because the neighboring karaoke bars run until late at night) are provided. Laundry is also available, just ask the kind owners.

Not much but note that there are no elevators and the property’s reception is on the 3rd floor (some rooms are also on the 5th floor). Maybe the frosted glass shower cubicles can still be changed to solid partitions, I don’t know. It didn’t bother me anyway because my shower times are usually off the usual shower hours. I’m also not sure if the room came with a floor heater but I had a nice sleep during my stay (just note that some guests find the bed springy/hard).
